Veronica

Owner and Creative Director

Purpose-

Hi! I'm V, owner and creative director of Code Florals! My purpose is to carry out our Lord's work with the love for healing and serving others. I have been given the opportunity to study nursing and care for people in the healthcare setting. The lord has also blessed me with the passion and love for floral design. Just how nurses create safe spaces for their patients and families, floral designing has the ability to transform and elevate any space to become more beautiful and mesmerizing. Floral design gives the creative opportunity of sharing your love story and your favorite memories. I am ready to listen to all of our amazing clients floral desires and all the details needed to manifest their dream day and create everlasting memories!

Past history-

I have always been surrounded by flowers ever since I was a little girl. My grandma had a big rose garden in the front of her yard and a backyard full of orchids and fruit blooming trees. I would help her tend to her garden and make flower arrangements to be placed around the house. We used to visit the Butchart Gardens in Canada all the time and I naturally shared this appreciation of flowers with her. After graduating high school, I moved to the east coast and went straight to nursing school. I graduated at the age of 22 with my bachelors of science in nursing. Back then I thought my calling was to serve in the intensive care unit- where my vocation served the sickest of patients, accredit my learning in critical care, and working long hours so I can continue learning and exposing myself to the technology and scientific advances in medicine. I worked in medical, surgical, and trauma level 1 ICUs. It was not after the pandemic, I wanted to revisit my calling and passion again. I left the ICU in 2021 and started my career in the post anesthesia care unit. I got my life back! No weekends, no holidays to work. I had more " me time." I finally got to do things I wanted to do for myself. I  helped family and friends design floral arrangements, centerpieces, and bouquets for their special events with the new free time I had. Eventually I loved my days off designing so much, I decided to pursue floral art and designing. Nursing gives patients and their families a safe space to heal; and through the art of floral designing, it has given me a safe space to heal and continue sharing my creativity.

I've decided to continue pursing both careers as I am passionate about both. With putting all my faith and trust in God, I know he will lead and shape me to becoming the best and trusted, Floral Nurse..
